Meet The Dentists
Dr. Scott Schofield
Dentist / Owner
Dr. Scott Schofield was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley. He is the proud father of three wonderful children: Penelope, Fiona, and Alistair. He married his high school sweetheart, Dr Elizabeth Jackson (Kentville), who is also a graduate of Dalhousie Dental School class of 2006. His primary interest outside of work is spending quality time with family and friends, while playing, coaching and watching soccer is a close second. Scott is an active member of the local and provincial dental associations.
Dr. Schofield loves dentistry and is a life-long learner, taking a wide variety of continuing education courses. Dental implant placement and rebuilding of teeth is a keen interest, receiving the Master Clinician designation by the gIDE Academy. Other courses include Advanced General Dentistry & Cosmetic Dental Procedures (Dawson Academy), intravenous (IV) conscious sedation and oral surgery for the general dentist. Dr. Schofield shares his time between Fundy Dental, and AppleTown Dental Centres (his general practice in Berwick: www.berwickdental.com)
Dr. Mubarak Alrafidi
Dentist / Owner
Dr. Mubarak Alrafidi graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University. He started practicing as an associate at Fundy Dental Centre in 2020 and enjoyed the philosophy of the clinic so much that he decided to buy into the practice.
Known to his patients affectionately as "Dr. M", he continues to treat all of his patients with the utmost care and compassion that they deserve.
Dr. Zahraa Cherri
Dentist
Dr. Zahraa Cherri has worked part-time with Fundy Dental since April 2022, and found the experience so rewarding that she was pleased to join the team full-time, as of January 2024. She loves the concept of the Emergency Dental Clinic and enjoys being part of a team that offers the
best to their patients.
Dr. Cherri values communication and ensuring that you understand what is
happening to your teeth, what your options are, and enjoys creating a plan that is patient-specific. Each tooth, patient and situation is different! She believes her role is to explain, discuss, and answer questions until you feel comfortable with a treatment that fits your wants and dental needs.
Dr. Cherri enjoys all aspects of dentistry and continues to learn through various continuing education
courses. Learning from the best in their fields is the way she ensures the best standard of care for her patients. In addition to general dentistry, she offers wisdom teeth extractions, front teeth trauma/esthetic repair, complicated root canals and bite adjustments.
Dr. Carlee Held
Dentist
Dr. Carlee Held, brings a wealth of expertise in general, cosmetic, and emergency dentistry. With a commitment to personalized treatment and a collaborative approach, she strives to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for comprehensive dental care.
Growing up in Ontario, Dr. Held understands the importance of prioritizing health and well-being in our busy lives. She is a proud member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, the East Coast Endodontic Study Club, the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentists and Prosthodontists, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Our Dental Assistants
Dental assistants work side by side with our dentists to provide optimal patient care. Our team of assistants are very knowledgeable about all aspects of dentistry. Aside from this, they are professional, compassionate and skilled at easing the mind of an anxious patient.

These smiling faces are the first to greet you when you walk through the door, but our reception and support staff are also working behind the scenes to help our days run smoothly. From answering calls and scheduling appointments, to helping you with insurance claims and payments, they are pivotal in the success of our clinic.
